Santa Fe ISD serves approximately 4500 students on six campuses. Our facilities include the administrative building built in 1928, Cowan Elementary built in 1954, Barnett Intermediate built in 1958 and renovated in 1997, Kubacak Elementary built in 1964 and updated in 1976, our current transportation center built in 1972, Wollam Elementary built in 1986 and the current 250,000 square foot Santa Fe High school opened in 2000. All of our elementaries and intermediate campuses are recognized and our junior high and high school are acceptable in the Texas Education Agency (TEA) accountability system. We strive to develop schools where our local citizens know that they are equally responsible for the quality of education of our youth and in working collaboratively to create conditions for our schools and students to flourish and excel. We together will promote teachers and staff who love students and learning, working to develop leaders in schools, community and society. Educators in this millennium must see ourselves as members of a learning organization where our own learning makes us stronger and keeps it relevant. As our district seeks to create its own future, it assumes learning is an ongoing and creative process. It develops, adapts and transforms itself in response to the needs and aspirations of all the people that make up the Santa Fe Independent School District. It is important that we all enjoy learning and accept the challenges associated with growth, change and progress. It is a pleasure to be a part of a district and community with a strong commitment to its' children and their future. As superintendent, it is my honor to lead and guide the district to provide the very best educational experiences for our children and our future. An Equal Opportunity Employer |
